Frequently asked questions
Short answers about formats, matching, privacy and billing. Still stuck? Contact us.
Which file formats can I upload?
CSV and TSV files (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe delimiters) and XLSX workbooks. The delimiter and text encoding are detected automatically, and the detection result is shown on the results screen so you can spot a wrong guess.
How large a file can I process?
Free: up to 1,000 rows per file and 3 files per month. Starter: up to 25,000 rows per file and 50,000 processed rows per month. Pro: up to 200,000 rows per file and 500,000 rows per month. The upload itself is capped at 25 MB. Limits are checked on the server before processing starts, and oversized files are refused with a clear message — never silently truncated.
What is the difference between exact and fuzzy matching?
Exact matching groups rows whose key columns are identical after normalization (trimming, case folding, email and phone cleanup). Fuzzy matching also compares similar values — misspelled names, reordered words — and scores each pair. You control the strictness with a threshold slider, and every cluster shows its score and the reasons it matched.
Will I lose data when duplicates merge?
Merging keeps one survivor row. With fill-missing turned on (the default), empty fields on the survivor are filled from the other rows in the cluster. Every removed row is listed in the audit CSV with its cluster and the reason, and the marked-original download shows the disposition of every row, so any merge can be traced and undone by hand.
What do I download?
Three files: the clean CSV in your original delimiter, a duplicates audit CSV (cluster ID, action, reason, original row, and the row's data), and a summary JSON with counts and the settings used. Clean rows plus audited removals equal your original row count.
Do I need an account?
No. Small files run without signup. An account adds task history; paid plans add larger files, saved recipes, two-file reconciliation and batch runs.
What is a saved recipe?
A recipe is your whole cleanup setup — key columns, normalization options, fuzzy threshold and merge rule — saved under a name. Next month's export gets the same cleanup in one click. Recipes are a paid feature: 5 on Starter, unlimited on Pro.
What is two-file reconciliation?
Upload a master list and a new list, name the key columns they share, and get three downloads: rows that are new, rows missing from the new list, and rows whose details changed. It is the fastest way to import only genuinely new leads into a CRM. Available on Starter and Pro.
What happens to my files?
Files are processed on our server and stored only so you can review clusters and download results. They are deleted automatically 24 hours after processing, and you can delete them immediately from your account page or the job controls. We never sell or share your list data. See the privacy policy for the full details.
My file has rows that failed to parse. What now?
Rows whose field count differs from the header are reported with their line number, and the valid rows are still processed. Fix the row in your source file — usually an unquoted comma or a stray quote — and re-upload if those rows matter.
How do billing and cancellation work?
Subscriptions are billed monthly in USD through Paddle, our merchant of record. Paid features unlock only when our server confirms your subscription. Cancel anytime via the link in your Paddle receipt email; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then returns to Free. See the refund and cancellation policy for refund terms.
